This card is part of a banned pair as of the 2025 March 17 banlist, taking effect on 2025 March 28 (around the tail end of the BT-20 format). A: [EX2-007 Mother D-Reaper] B: [EX7-064 Kazama Shoto] The stated reasoning was: [EX2-007 Mother D-Reaper] can be reliably set up in the early game, and by using [EX7-064 Kazama Shoto], a difficult Tamer card to play around, to give it Blocker, it is possible to create an extremely solid defense in the early game. Many decks are restricted in how they can deal with this combination, and since this interaction requires only a single copy of [EX7-064 Kazama Shoto] to reproduce, we have determined it to be unhealthy. For the above reasons, we have decided to ban these two cards from being included in the same deck. References:
