The Digimon Research Institute (デジモン研究所, Dejimon Kenkyūjo), also referred to as the Digital Research Lab, Digital Monster Laboratory, or Digi Lab (デジ研, Deji Ken), is a Digimon research organization in Digital Monster Ver. S: Digimon Tamers.

The Digimon Research Institute was established following the worldwide spread of Digimon and the emergence of hackers who exploited them. As Digimon became popular and began to be kept as pets on personal computers, Digimon Tamers used them to battle and exchange information. However, their widespread adoption also enabled hackers to misuse them, prompting a group of information-processing experts to establish the institute.
The institute researches Digimon with the stated goals of understanding their nature and promoting their peaceful use.
