The stated reasoning was: Compared to when this card was designed, the number of combos founded on this card trashing security has increased, and these combos are able to gain extreme amounts of memory under lax conditions with only 1 copy of this card. Also, since it's 0 cost, it can be used at any time, so as the space of possible plays increases, the potential for sharp turnarounds becomes much greater than expected.
