Fujamon[edit]

Unless we have reason to think otherwise, it should just be fujamon? i get its a chinese fish named hǔjiāo, but then we dont use the name Wukongmon for Gokuwmon.Muur (talk) 10:37, 10 July 2025 (CDT)

Gokuwmon's naming method is different from it, so it cannot be used as a reference. You should refer to Hudiemon, Lianpumon, Xingtianmon, Dijiangmon, etc., which are also named after Chinese pronunciation.--Yuetmoon (talk) 11:12, 10 July 2025 (CDT)
Tbf Tian Ji also uses Japanese names despite being Chinese figures so it’s not just the JttW gang. Chimera-gui (talk) 11:42, 10 July 2025 (CDT)
The official English spelling is Fujamon, as seen on the Pendulum color. I was unable to move the page due to the existing redirect, and was also unable to move the redirect, resulting in an extra 'hold' redirect that is unnecessary (sorry!). Could someone with better privileges make the update? Humulos (talk) 10:25, 20 December 2025 (CST)
If you don’t mind my asking, what’s the source for Fujamon as the official name? And do you have a list of the official names for the other Digimon in Shambala v-pets? Chimera-gui (talk) 13:07, 20 December 2025 (CST)
Of course, the source is the V-Pet itself, it shows the names directly on the device. The sprites of those names can be found here: https://discord.com/channels/761581682686951455/761584118285991946/1450787862214869057 (Sorry it's a Discord link, easiest way to share everything). The only other name I saw from my cursory comparison was that Takimon is officially translated as Takinmon. I will also clarify that these are the official Bandai Japan English names, not the localized English names, as can be seen with the use of Yatagaramon for example. and thus, I was right the whole time.Muur (talk) 18:29, 20 December 2025 (CST)
