Talk:Coatlmon
I would have to argue against moving Coatlmon. First off, the the Reference Book's katakana spells out Koatorumon, which is basically just Coatlmon (why the English text says Quetzalmon is beyond me). Second of all, Coatlmon's name is far closer to its appearance than Quetzalmon. Both names come from Quetzalcoatl, the ancient Aztec god, but the two words are completely separate. Quetzal is the name of the Resplendant Quetzal, a bright green bird with a very long tail. Coatl is the ancient Nahuatl word for serpent, hence together meaning Snake with plumage of the Quetzal. Given that Coatlmon looks NOTHING like the quetzal (aside from the green feathers on the back of its head), and is very snake-like in appearance, I would say leave it as Coatlmon.
- Bandai is retarded, keeping it Coatlmon, as "Quetzal" would be rendered as くエッツェル (kuettsuru).--devkyu 23:12, 25 April 2013 (CDT)
