Digimon Guard
The Digimon Guard (デジモン警備隊, Dejimon Keibitai, lit. "Digimon Security Squad") is an organization introduced in the guide book Digimon Pendulum 5 Metal Empire (V-Jump Books Digital Series), published by Shueisha on October 19, 1999. It investigates the ecology of Digimon day and night in order to protect the peace of the Digital World. Its motto is, "We will protect the peace of Digimon!"[1]

Data X[edit]
Data X (データX, Dēta Ekkusu) is the captain of the Digimon Guard. He is highly knowledgeable about Digimon and offers instruction concerning them, although his guidance is strict.[1]
Wakuta[edit]
Wakuta (わく太, Wakuta) is a member of the Digimon Guard who hopes to become friends with every Digimon and works toward that goal each day.[1]
Viruchi[edit]
Viruchi (ウィルチ, Wiruchi) is a member of the Digimon Guard. She finds explaining Digimon troublesome, but does so despite her reluctance.[1]
Digit[edit]
Digit (デジット, Dejitto) is the Digimon Guard's robotic assistant. It encourages readers to befriend Digimon alongside the group.[1]

Digimon Pendulum 5 Metal Empire (V-Jump Books Digital Series)[edit]
The Digimon Guard presents information concerning the Digimon Pendulum 5.0 and its Metal Empire Digimon as a series of missions. These missions cover the Digital World, recommended Digimon and the Metal Empire roster, device operation and Digimon care, evolution and battle strategies, and additional ways to enjoy Digimon.[1]
The characters are depicted in full-color illustrations accompanied by text rather than in a conventional manga. The character illustrations were drawn by Hajime Yoshida.
Trivia[edit]
- The names "Wakuta", "Data X", and "Viruchi" are plays on the three primary Digimon Attributes: Vaccine, Data, and Virus, respectively. Digit's name is derived from "digital" or "digit".
