This card is banned as of the 2022 January 14 banlist, taking effect on 2022 February 1 (around the tail end of the EX-02 format). The stated reasoning was: The level 7 Digimon [Susanoomon] can satisfy this card's requirements by evolving from a Tamer, and since it can evolve for a reduced cost without needing a level 6, the environment is accelerating much faster than expected and the space of decks is narrowing. For this reason, we have decided to ban this card. Using this card just once in the early-to-mid-game to evolve into a finisher can easily close out games, so we have determined that it would be impossible to correct this situation by merely restricting the card to 1 copy, and thus we have banned this card instead.
