Digimon Universe Appli Monsters/Cyber Arena[edit]

In the subquest "Hifumigaoka, Blossom Park", a Trickmon's Illusion app caused the data of people's smartphones to disappear after guessing wrong in a game. To find it, Kazuki/Itsuki went into the AR Dungeon of a woman's phone that had been affected by it. However, after being confronted, Trickmon refused to stop if Kazuki/Itsuki didn't clear its Illusion Challenge, where Kazuki/Itsuki had to pick the right box to stop it, while picking the wrong box would cause their Appmon to be erased. Kazuki/Itsuki attempted to pick one, only to be stopped by Shinkai Haru. Haru's Buddy Appmon, Gatchmon, then Appliarised and called out Trickmon for having no actual winning boxes, which Haru thought was likely because that'd be a typically villainous thing to do. Haru then had Gatchmon use his Deep Search to search the Net Ocean with the keywords "box" and "contents", which confirmed all boxes were duds. While Haru ordered Trickmon to behave as its trick was foiled, Trickmon instead decided to erase both Appli Drivers in rage.

After being defeated in combat, Trickmon surrendered and pledged to never play tricks again and restore the deleted data, then left.
