Digital Monster X-evolution (デジタルモンスター ゼヴォリューション Dejitaru Monsutā Zevoryūshon) is a TV feature length special.

Characters[edit]

Summary[edit]

The Digital World, which was run by the host computer Yggdrasill, became too overcrowded and crashed. 99% of all Digimon were destroyed and the remaining 1% moved to a new Digital World which was broken into three terminals, Skuld, Versandi (a misspelling of Verdani), and Ulud. Ancient-type Digimon lived on the Skuld terminal, Futuristic and Machine-type lived on the Ulud terminal, and all other digimon lived on the Versandi terminal. To prevent unwanted Digimon from existing in the new digital world, Yggdrasill created the X-Program to eliminate them.

Digimon from the old Digital World survived by using the X-Antibody to save themselves from the X-Program and are hunted by the Royal Knights, a group of Digimon that serve Yggdrasill and carry out its will. Yggdrasill seeks to set in motion Project Ark to renew the Digital Worlds and create new digimon, by destroying all existing digimon. The surviving X-Digimon try to combat this along with an experimental digimon created by Yggdrasill, DORUmon, who possesses the X-Antibody.

DORUmon finds himself unwelcome by other digimon, but when War Greymon X asks him to guard a Tokomon, he becomes good friends with it. War Greymon X and Metal Garurumon X battle the Royal Knight, Omegamon. Metal Garurumon X saves Tokomon who also tried to fight. Metal Garurumon X seemingly dies in the battle. DORUmon evolves and then Dukemon shows up. Omegamon precedes to kill Dukemon, because Dukemon is betraying Yggdrasill. Dukemon thinks Project Ark is wrong. During the battle War Greymon X, DORUgamon, the evolved form of DORUmon, and Tokomon X escape.
