History

DATS.us was started during September 2006, and has since gone through a number of changes. The first major change was the change from a crack-able MyBB board to a much more secure vBulletin board. DATS.us focuses mainly on offering "services," which cater to a variety of areas of the fandom. Some of the most prominent ones have been the fansubs and scanlations, which are distributed throughout the Internet.

Media Releases

Overview

The DATS team has two release sections, one for manga scanlations and one for subtitled episodes. The teams were carried over from With the Will after the new management took over. The team releases under the name "DATS" and all releases are prefixed with [DATS].

Fansubs

DATS subbed all the Digimon Savers episodes that With the Will did not finish (16+). From that point on, the team has expanded into a number of other series, including Digimon Tamers and Digimon Adventure Zero Two. Non-Digimon projects include Ryuusei no Rockman and Deltora Quest, and the team is working on subtitled episodes of Rockman.EXE Beast+, Seto no Hanayome, and BLUE DRAGON. The team has also done work on a couple Pocket Monsters episodes, and has plans to work on episodes from the Advanced Generation section of the series.

Scanlations

The scanlation team, headed by Vande and Koroku jointly, has continued with the With the Will projects. They are working finishing up the remainder of Digimon Adventure V-Tamer 01. The scanlation team did a number of Digimon Next chapters, but future releases will be released under Digital Starlight Scanlations. Since moving to DATS, the scanlation team has started work on other series, with a number of "in progress" series, and one complete mini-series, Pokemon Ranger.

GeoRockman.net (GRN)

The latest addition to the DATS Family which is dedicated to the Ryuusei series. It aims to feature information about the voice actors, general series info, episode guides amongst a growing list of upcoming things.

Past Projects

Digital News Network (DNN)

DNN was a multilingual Digimon news site that was once jointly headed by Koroku, SakuyamonX and Ainz. It was intentionally designed to be an up-to-date Digimon news source, expanding into a range areas of the fandom. However, due to a lack of interest and conflicting schedules, the project was suspended in January 2007 and has long since been withdrawn.

Sticky's Anime

A YouTube-based anime site made by Scar (Sticky). It featured many anime, and was updated on a day-to-day basis. However, as part of the ongoing crackdown on copyright infringement, this crushed a major part of Sticky's Anime and as a result, it was unlikely that it will ever be brought back to life.
