Site issue: favicon.ico

I just noticed the favicon.ico for the site is broken; the source still references it but the file itself is not present. I just didn't know if that's a bug or a feature, so to say, and also where to write about it. In hope someone with the power to solve it/mention why it is like this see this, a thanks in advance.
