The members of the Digimon Research Group

The Digimon Research Group (デジモン調査団, Dejimon Chōsadan) is a group introduced in the guide book Digimon Pendulum 4 Wind Guardians (V-Jump Books Digital Series), published by Shueisha on July 13, 1999. Its work consists of investigating the ecology of Digimon. However, because all three members are elementary school students, the group is only able to operate on their days off from school.[1]

Members[edit]

Wakku[edit]

Wakku (ワック, Wakku) is the leader of the Digimon Research Group and the member most knowledgeable about Digimon. He takes Digimon research very seriously.[1]

Datanya[edit]

Datanya (デターニャ, Detānya) is an energetic and tomboyish girl. Although she likes Digimon, her impulsive personality occasionally causes her to make care mistakes while raising them.[1]

Willton[edit]

Willton (ウィルトン, Wiruton) is Wakku's classmate. Although he is still inexperienced as a Digimon Tamer, his desire to raise Digimon is stronger than anyone else's.[1]

Digimon Pendulum 4 Wind Guardians (V-Jump Books Digital Series)[edit]

The members of the Digimon Research Group present information concerning the Digimon Pendulum 4.0 and its Wind Guardians Digimon as a series of research reports. These reports cover the Digital World, Pendulum Actions, the Wind Guardians roster, device operation and Digimon care, training and battle strategies, and additional ways to enjoy Digimon.[1]

The characters are depicted in full-color illustrations accompanied by text rather than in a conventional manga. The character illustrations were drawn by Hajime Yoshida.

Trivia[edit]

  • The members' names are plays on the three primary Digimon Attributes: "Wakku" is derived from "Vaccine", "Datanya" from "Data", and "Willton" from "Virus".
