On this day and Did you know

See the heading, what's up with those two parts of the Main Page? In case of the former, only a few days are covered (and personally, I don't think it's that interesting to read that episode x aired exactly 11 years ago or something). And "Did you know" always seems to be empty (I don't remember when it had content the last time). --Grandy02 10:14, 1 March 2012 (CST) I brought that up awhile back... it'd be one hell of a project to fill up the "On this day"s... - Koroku
Maybe we should just get rid of "On this day" to put more focus on "Did you know"? --Grandy02 11:36, 1 March 2012 (CST)
I wouldn't be adverse to the idea. It's kinda annoyed me for awhile. :P --Koroku 13:20, 1 March 2012 (CST)

It's not beautiful, but I've implemented something basic. We can expand it as we wish... - The extension, if you want to read up on it. --Koroku 06:35, 2 March 2012 (CST)

I asked pawitp about it before and mentioned something about it not working well due to caching, but that was like 2 years ago. --Ainz ( talk | contribs ) 06:43, 2 March 2012 (CST)
Meh, server can deal with it. If it chokes, we'll take it out. (: --Koroku 06:55, 2 March 2012 (CST)

Maybe a bit of a stop...

So apparently, we didn't have e-mail confirmation on. Not quite sure why. However, I do want to note that those bots must be pretty damn good, because I failed at the funny words multiple times when making this accounts... but yeah, we have e-mail confirmation on now. Let's hope that stops at least a bit. --LilyDash 07:49, 22 February 2012 (CST)

I need to come up with better names for fake accounts. --Koroku 07:51, 22 February 2012 (CST)

Anime/Manga Debut

Currently, the debut of a Digimon in anime and manga is not treated separately in the Debut tab. I noticed that for many Digimon the anime episode or movie is even listed when it was actually seen earlier in a manga. For example, Greymon appeared in the V-Tamer manga months before the Digimon Adventure movie. Should I continue fixing such debuts, or would it be better to use separate rows for anime and manga debuts? --Grandy02 11:50, 21 February 2012 (CST)

I'd say to split it. --Koroku 18:32, 21 February 2012 (CST)
I also think it would be better that way. Should "Game/V-Pet" be split as well? --Grandy02 11:22, 23 February 2012 (CST)

Red Frame card evolutions

I know this gets brought up now and again, but does anyone know anything about which evolutions should be listed for X-Antibody digimon? For example, Bx-84 lists Rhinomon X-Antibody as evolving from Patamon, Wormmon and Gottsumon, two of which only have blue-frame card versions, and the third has both blue and red frame versions, (but only a red-frame card in that particular set). Would it technically evolve from both regular and x-antibody Gottsumon, unless otherwise specified? I know there ARE cards that specify red or blue frame evolutions. Since I can't seem to find any translated version of the rulebooks from any of the X-Antibody sets, I'm not sure how evolution is treated using red frame cards. There are also pages listed with evolutions to and from the same species of digimon with the X-Antibody or with the X-Eraser. Again, since I can't find translations of the ruleboook, I'm not sure what we should do. --devkyu 03:17, 12 February 2012 (CST)

I guess it means that a Digimon can evolve from both types if the frame colour is not specified. If this is the case, we would always have to list both regular and X-Antibody Digimon for card-based evolutions if not stated otherwise... --Grandy02 11:42, 21 February 2012 (CST)

Rules and OpenTalk

I got a message not that long ago about a typo on the rules page, and while I fixed it back then, I noticed that the rules were kinda mucky. So I went though and cleaned them up today. Yay yay. :) I also liked Grady02's idea about the Talk pages needing involvement, so I redid the little header this up there ^^^^ and added a page for it at OpenTalk. :)

Has anyone else noticed that there has been a lot more people on Wikimon lately, user wise? We seem to have gotten a few new returning editors. (: --Koroku 09:00, 7 February 2012 (CST)

Thanks for adding it to the header! :-) --Grandy02 12:33, 9 February 2012 (CST)

Image Names

Just a note: can everyone uploading images follow the filename formats? It makes it easier finding images when they are all lowercase and don't have spaces or hyphens or other random codes in them. I'll probably end up re-uploading certain images later on once I have the time. Thanks!--devkyu 02:41, 28 January 2012 (CST)

More Spamming/Bot users?

Seems like we're getting more of these these last few days for some reason. Anyway we can restrict them even more to cut back on all of these pimple articles and wood cutting articles and other such pages from popping up? Tsum 00:48, 30 December 2011 (CST)

We have a couple spam filters installed... anyone have any suggestions of better ones? Maybe [1]? --Koroku 10:07, 5 January 2012 (CST)
Yes, we should use QuestiCaptcha. If something tries to add an external link, it has to answer a question.KrytenKoro06 17:07, 5 January 2012 (CST)
Link? --Koroku 16:41, 8 January 2012 (CST)
KHWiki and ZeldaWiki use it. Basically, you have to answer a question about the source material if you are an anon. It could probably be tweaked to limit new accounts or additions of external links, as well. You'd have to talk to the sysops there, though. (Porplemontage at KHWiki, possibly zeldawiki as well).KrytenKoro06 18:37, 27 January 2012 (CST)

Fandom Section

Noticed that the Fandom is rather sparse and outdated, so I added a page for any relatively decent literature anyone can think of. Any ideas what else we can add other than potentially updating the list of websites? --devkyu 04:07, 20 December 2011 (CST)

Let's not add a history section........ --Koroku 10:07, 5 January 2012 (CST)

Have you guys ever thought about using a favicon for Wikimon? --Grandy02 12:57, 18 July 2011 (CDT)

We have in the past, but we didn't actually get around to discussing about it in detail. What should we use for a favicon? I initially had thoughts of using something similiar to the W displayed on the digivice in the logo. --Ainz ( talk | contribs ) 13:29, 18 July 2011 (CDT)
A X Loader?KrytenKoro06 19:13, 18 July 2011 (CDT)
The LCD screen W wouldn't be bad. --Grandy02 12:50, 30 July 2011 (CDT)
Like so? --Koroku 06:56, 2 March 2012 (CST)

Incorrect Digimon Profiles

Have any of you noticed that some of the Xros Wars Digimon profiles are incorrect? For example, IceDevimon Enhancement Absorbent has, "Grandma, what big fists you have!" and IceDevimon DaiPenmon Enhancement Absorbent has, "It'll kick your ass, dood!" Next time, can we try using the LEGITIMATE profiles, thx very much? Coredramon X 09:23, 16 January 2012 (CST)

These are joke profiles that act as placeholders for the Digimon that doesn't have any legitimate info available. Final Cannon 10:46, 16 January 2012 (CST)
