English[edit]
- The recap of the previous episode’s ending is removed.
- As is the case with Episode 2, the interview with Ken is heavily rewritten in the dub to add more jokes. In this particular case, references to “Donkey Madness” have been inserted, and the question Ken is asked about skipping grades is not brought up in the dub at all.
- A teacher asks Ken to give him an autograph for his daughter. The dub changes this into an autograph for himself. In addition, Ken’s message to “Yuriko-chan” is changed to “Good luck with Donkey Madness!”, although his signature is left unedited.
- All references to Japanese food are changed.
- Another “Donkey Madness” reference is added to the dub in the scene where Ken’s parents are worried about why they haven’t seen him in a while.
- All implications of suicide have been removed from the dub.
- Wormmon is shown throughout the episode hoping that Ken will change for the better. In the dub, most of his lines are rewritten to make it seem like he is going along with Ken’s plans.
- Generic background music is replaced by “Strange” in the dub.
