Translations

If you're just going to run the bio through babelfish, you need to not be posting your "translations" as official. The bios need to be professional before being uploaded.KrytenKoro06 02:43, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Define "official" and "professional" please. Anyway I am not just running the text through babelfish, although I admit that I am using it as reference. My Japanese is not perfect, so it helps have something to compare with in order to check if I am not misunderstanding anything. --Libra00 03:00, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

"Professional", in this case, would refer to using basic English grammar and spelling. Also important is the ability to tell which translation should be used, and not just use the first thing that your translator spits out.

If you are not experienced in Japanese, you should not be posting your translations in the articles. If you would like to help, you should be posting your attempts on the talk page, so that they can be cleaned up before being put into the article.KrytenKoro06 19:48, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

??? I am pretty sure that I double-checked my grammar before posting the texts. You're saying that I missed something?

Also, I am repeating myself here but the translator are being used just for comparison purposes. The translations are something that I wrote myself. That being said, I tried to keep them as faithful to original text as possible so I suppose that people that are not used to this type of reading might find them awkward somehow.

Anyway, I will take your advice and from now on my translations will go to the discussion page first instead of straight to the article. --Libra00 02:07, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

I translate them literally as well, so I know that the arrangement is much different than in English. I'm not trying to say you can't try translating them, I'm just saying you need to put it on the talk page first.KrytenKoro06 04:28, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

It's an error that popped up last week that won't allow new pages to be created. It might fix itself eventually... maybe. --devkyu 04:10, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
