Profile

Trailmon are an unusual group of similar Digimon appearing in Digimon Frontier and Digimon Next. There is no Digimon literally called "Trailmon", however, this page summarizes their shared characteristics.

Trailmon are a special type of digimon whose characteristics varies greatly between individuals, but stats remain the same. They traverse the Digital World along sets of tracks (and can sometimes create their own tracks to run along) and transport both humans and Digimon. They, unlike most Digimon, have the ability to enter the Real World but when they do, they are forced to change into a disguise.

Trailmon Worm was the Trailmon that brought Takuya, Izumi, Junpei, and Tomoki to the Digital World.

During the Great Trailmon Race, Takuya piloted Trailmon Worm. Were Garurumon (Black) and Dogmon cheated by putting Trailmon Buffalo on the same track and ramming Trailmon Worm repeatedly until Takuya fell off. Tomoki evolved into Chakkumon and caught Takuya allowing him to evolve into Agnimon. Agnimon retaliated by boarding Trailmon Buffalo and fighting Were Garurumon and Dogmon but they were to much for him on his own. Kouji jumped off of his Trailmon also and assisted for a bit but when they came back onto a tunnel Agnimon re-boarded Trailmon Worm. Trailmon Worm and Trailmon Buffalo came into a larger cavern inside the tunnel where Dogmon threw several small bombs destroying the track infront of Trailmon Worm causing him to become derailed. There was also an oil spill that was ignited by the Petit Meramon that lived inside the cavern but Takuya evolved into Vritramon and used the force of the explosion to propel them forward. Vritramon then fired his Fire Strom attack through Trailmon Worm forcing Trailmon Buffalo off, allowing Trailmon Worm to win the race.

Later, after the Chosen Children had asked several other Trailmon to take them to the Mamenoki Village the Trailmon fled in fear but Worm was sleeping. Takuya and Junpei tickle him awake but he complains about them interfering with his nap. Izumi tries flirting with him but it doesn't have a lasting effect. Bokomon discovers a sign on Trailmon indicating that he was in fact the limited express to Mamenoki Village but when Takuya brought this to him he only shaked the sign off to their annoyance. The Chosen Children then try to please him but washing him and Junpei gave him chocolate but he still answered no saying that it was a pain and tried to run off without them but they managed to jump on board before Trailmon Worm left. However, Trailmon Worm quickly came to a broken part of the track and flatly says he can't go on without a track. But the Chosen Children quickly dismantled the track behind him and used it to repair the track ahead forcing him to go onwards. Trailmon Worm asked why they were trying to go to the Mamenoki Village so bad and Takuya answered that they had to save their friends from the Royal Knights there. Bokomon further explained that they were trying to save the Digital World, but Trailmon Worm said it was futile because eventually everyone would lose their data to them. Takuya denies this insisting that they would save the Digital World and that it was their home also. Trailmon Worm asked if he could really save it and Takuya said he didn't know how, but if the Digimon joined them they possibly could and that Trailmon Worm would be able to ride on the Digital World he once knew. With the rail ahead repaired Trailmon Worm said to get on. Izumi asked if he meant he would give them a ride, which he responded saying he would take her anyways blushing. Annoyed Junpei elbowed Worm telling him to stop hitting on her. They continued forward through a a bunch of "loop de loop" tracks knocking them around inside but eventually arrived at Mamenoki Village to fight the Royal Knights. During the fight Trailmon Worm breathed fire to stop one of Lord Knightmon's attacks, but they still lost the fight and Mamenoki Village was scanned. Trailmon Worm evacuated the Chosen Children and the Mamemon Village, and the non-chosen kids before the ground vanished. Trailmon Worm later took the non-chosen kids back to the Real World.
