Talk:Wormmon

From Wikimon

Translation[edit]

Translation for the description in Japanese.

A Larva-type Digimon with a timid and coward personality. Just like V-mon it is a descendant of an ancient species and it can undergo the unique Armor Evolution, but a single Wormmon is powerless and has no possibility of winning against large Digimon. However, by undergoing Armor Evolution by the power of the Digimental, it can display unbelievable power. Also, just like a frail larva develops into a strong imago, it is said that Wormmon too will someday overflow with power and evolve to the Adult stage. This is a Digimon that conceals potential for the future. Special Moves are to spit out a net of threads with strong adhesive power to restrict the movements of the opponent (Nebaneba Net) and to spit out silk thread-like hardened threads in the form of sharp needles with thin pointed edges (Silk Thread).

Reviews and comments are welcome. --Libra00 21:33, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

D-3 profile - not sure how to code it in[edit]

A Larva Digimon with a timid, cowardly personality.

Just like V-mon and the others, by Armor evolving with the power of the Digimentals, it is able to manifest unbelievable power.

Also, it is said that in order for the fragile larva to grow into a powerful imago, it will one day evolve into an adult overflowing with power.

Its Special Moves are spitting out the threads of a tough, adhesive net, completely restraining the opponent's movements (Nebaneba Net), and spitting out stiff threads that are as thin as a silk thread but as pointed and sharp as a needle (Silk Thread).

Wormmon's name origin[edit]

Kizuna novel -- Mirai Bunko version -- points out Wormmon actually looks like a hornworm, so I edited it from "Bagworm" in the origin for its name. Source: DigiLab's translation of said novel. (Also pardon I never used a Wiki platform before, so help me figure this out please.)

[edit 2022/8/1] 02 Movie, The Beginning, states in Wormmon's profile that he's a Hornworm. So we have more than one official material giving the origin of the digimon and its name in general.
