A King Digimon that works secretly towards the building of a great Chessmon Empire, even though no one understands what it is or where it would be, and they aren't interested. King Chessmon is a coward; it usually doesn't attack, just runs away as quick as it can, which goes with its favorite phrase, "Escape is victory!" It does, surprisingly, have a brain on the level of a supercomputer. When it can't be helped, its special move is Checkmate. When its life hangs in the balance, this is a technique with transcendent offensive capabilities. It also has the King Stick, which it uses to create shadow warriors of itself.

チェスモン大帝国を築く為に暗躍する王様デジモン。しかし、チェスモン大帝国がどのようなものか誰も知らず、周囲からも興味を持たれていない。小心者で自分から攻撃をすることはほとんど皆無で、いざという時の逃げ足だけは速い。口癖は「逃げるが勝ち！」。しかし、意外にもスパコン並みの頭脳をもっている。必殺技は、しかたなく自分から攻撃する『チェックメイト』。この技は自分の命がかかると超絶な攻撃力をもつ。また、自分の影武者を創り出す『キングスティック』を肌身離さず持っている。素早く逃げる『キングダッシュ』も得意中の得意技である。
