The Crest of Friendship (友情の紋章, Yūjou no Monshou) is one of the nine Crests. It is engraved with a pattern resembling the taijitu enclosed in an eye.

Digimon Adventure[edit]
The Crest of Friendship was located in DA18, found by Ishida Yamato and Izumi Koushiro in a well near Piccolomon's home along with the Crest of Knowledge. It was first activated in DA23 during the fight with Vagimon and Digitamamon in response to their torture of Kido Jou, causing Garurumon to super-evolve into Were Garurumon for the first time. During the conflict with the Dark Masters, being the bearer of the Crest of Friendship cased Yamato some distress stemming from his perceived inability to truly get along with others and understand friendship, causing him to leave the Chosen and travel alone for a time.
Its physical form was later destroyed by Apocalymon, and in May 2000 Yamato surrendered its power to free one of the Four Holy Beasts from the bonds placed upon them by the Dark Masters.
Digimon Adventure:[edit]
The Crest of Friendship belongs to Ishida Yamato. Like the other Crests in Adventure:, it does not exist in a physical form, and instead appears in Yamato's Digivice:'s screen when Yamato shows the trait the Crest embodies. It first appeared in War Game.
A giant Crest of Friendship, in the same shape as the ones in Digimon Adventure, appeared in the Tree of Knowledge alongside the other seven Crests in "The Mystery Hidden Within the Crests". Wisemon explained that the Crests predated Digimon themselves and were a complete mystery, which led the Chosen Children to separate to answer said mystery.
In "The Gold Wolf of the Crescent Moon", after Yamato and Were Garurumon: Sagittarius Mode managed to reawaken the gold sword fighter's weapon, which then caused the latter to evolve into Cres Garurumon to fight Zanbamon, Yamato's Digivice: projected the Crest of Friendship as it turned completely blue.
