Ancient Dino Region (ダイノ古代境 Daino Kodaikyou) is a humid area on the eastern portion of File Island inhabited by many dinosaur-type Digimon.

Description

Beyond the Amida Forest of Tropical Jungle is the Ancient Dino Region, which is divided into Glacial and Speedy Time Zones. The entrance and the outside parts of Ancient Dino Region is considered Glacial Time Zone, whereas the deeper and more desolate parts of it is considered Speedy Time Zone. Time passes by at different rates in these two areas.

Digimon Adventure

First appeared in "Centalmon the Guardian!", the Ancient Dino Region consists of an ancient ruin which has a structure of a maze. The entrance of the ruins has Digimoji engraved on the wall, which when analyzed by a computer turns out to be the map of the ruins. The ruins' guardian is Centalmon. The ruins hold information about the Digivice, regarding it as a holy device. Koushirou landed outside of the region after Devimon splits up File Island. Mimi ends up in Tropical Jungle, and arrives to the area using Palmon's Poison Ivy to reach the island which the region is in.

When travelers reach the Ancient Dino Region, Brachiomon, Monochromon, and Saberdramon will give advice regarding the different zones in the region and the meteor incident. The guardian of this region is Tyranomon, who guards the entrance and will attack intruders on sight. The reason for his tight security is because of a recent meteor incident, which if cleared may give a reason for Tyranomon to stop guarding the region and join the city. It is also said that Tyranomon's master is currently in recluse, but may come out of it when the time comes. The landing site of the meteor may also attract Nanimon to the area.

Digimon World: Digital Card Battle

The Ancient Dino Region is the residence of one of the 7 Card Leaders, Brachiomon. Monochromon stands guard at the Entrance, while Tyranomon guards the Bone Tunnel where Brachimon resides. Brachimon has been suffering greatly from the effects of the Bug Card, and is set on accusing Vamdemon, a fellow Card Leader in Overdell, as the one behind the whole incident. Its bodyguard, Vermillimon, had been suspiciously visiting the region several times, leading Brachimon to believing that Vamdemon is behind the disappearance of the Bug Card. Brachiomon is unwilling to hand over the 7s Card until one finds out the truth behind Vermillimon's recent travels to the region.
